Dees’s Perahu Kertas
Perahu kertas is another great novel written by Dewi Lestari, who is well known as Dee. It was initially a serial entitled Kugy and Keenan. The stories were written in 1996, which came to apparent death for became Dee’s first popular genre based
novel. The novel as launched as a digital novel (in a format of WAP) in 2008 before it was published in 2009.
The novel is about Kugy and Keenan. Kugy is a cute messy little girl who loves to write fairy tales. She used to float a paper boat on every river she came
across; around her house. She believe that she is a Neptunes’s agent and
floating the paper boat is a way to communicate ith her “boss”. Keenan, on the other hand, is a painter,
but who is also an excellent
becoming a great painter, but his father shows less supports to his talent. Both Kugy and
Keenan, the main characters of the novel, fall in love ith each other but they
face difficulties in their relationship. However, they can deal with them and finally, they can be one. They also work together, Kugy as a writer of fairly tales and Keenan as the illustrator
of Kugy’s storied.
Beside a love story, this novel also tells about the struggle in making
dreams come true, choices, friendship, self and family’s conflicts. The complex
yet understandable stories are described in different settings of places, like
the Netherlands, Jakarta, Bandung and Ubud (Bali) and in a range of time from
1999 to 2003. The plot flos gradually and is easy to follo. It also enables the
readers to engage their emotions to the charasters’ life story. Curiosity is
also evoked hen reading each part of the stories.
The novel is filmed under the same title Perahu Kertas and starred maudy
Ayunda and Adipati Dolken. Due to the long duration of the film, it was devided into two parts. The first part was initially played in August 2012 and the second
part was launched in October
2012.

Luis Lionel Andreas Messi, born June 24, 1987, is an Argentina football
player for F.C. Barcelona. He is not very tall, mainly due to the a growing problem he had when he was younger. His eyes are brown. He never has short hair.
Lionel Messi started playing football at a very early age in his hometown’s Newell’s Old Boys. From the age of 11, he suffered from a hormone deficiency
and as Lionel’s parents were unable to pay the treatment in Argentina, they decided to move to
Barcelona, Spain.

Thailand : Forty-two passengers were injured and two were missing after two boat carrying Thai and foreign tourists collided
in the popular island beach party, police said Sunday.
The speedboats were ferrying tourists to Pha-Ngan island for a “Fullmoon” party, a monthly
event that attracts thousands of young, mostly western tourists.
Provincial police officer Adipong Tapee said of the 42 travelers injured,
39 were hospitalized
including four Britons, four Australians and four Singaporeans. Also among them
were Irish, Norwegian, Malaysian, and Thai tourists, he said.
The boats collided and overturned before midnight Saturday, throwing the passengers into the rough sea water just off the island, the website of the Nation newspaper said – AP.
